Finding The House
From the centre of Ballyvaughan (Hyland’s Hotel) take the N67 (Galway Road). The turn off is the second junction on the left up a hill approximately 500m. We are the last house on that short road.
Coming from Galway
Galway Airport is approx 45km away and takes about 45 minutes to drive.
Take the N18 towards Ennis. Turn right at Kilcolgin on to the N67 for Kinvarra, Ballyvaughan and Lisdoonvarna.
As you approach the village of Ballyvaughan, the road widens on the right hand side and there is an unmarked right turn. Take this turn and we are the last house on that short road.
Coming from Shannon Airport
Shannon Airport (near Limerick) is approx 60km away and takes about 1 hour to drive.
Follow the signs from Shannon and take the M18 towards Galway. Take exit 12 towards the N85 and Ennis. Continue on the N85 arround the town of Ennis.
Approximately 2.5km past Ennis, turn right onto the R476 signpotsed Ballyvaughan.
Continue on the R476 for 17km and then turn right onto the R480 (the junction is easy to spot as the ruin of Leamaneh Castle is at the junction). Continue for another 15km to the end of that road and turn right onto the N67 towards Ballyvaughan.
Turn right at the centre of Ballyvaughan to stay on the N67 (Galway Road). The turn off for the house is the second junction on the left up a hill approximately 500m from the village. We are the last house on that short road.
Coming from Dublin Airport
Dublin Airport is approx 250km away and takes about 2.5 hours to drive.
Follow the signs from Dublin Airport towards the M1 Dublin and Belfast. As you approach the M1 follow the signs to the M50 and All Other Routes. Take Exit 1 off the M1 marked Southbound/M50/All Other Routes.
Continue for 13km on the M50 and then take Exit 7 onto the N4 for Galway and the West.
After 45km take Exit 11 to merge onto the M6 for Galway (The motorway splits at this junction, with the M6 going left, so be careful not to miss the exit)
As you near Galway City, take Exit 18 onto the M18 towards Limerick and Shannon.
After 15km, take Exit 17 onto the R458 toward Kinvarra and Ardrahan. Follow the signs to Kilcolgan.
When you come to the village of of Kilcolgan, turn left onto the N67 for Kinvarra, Ballyvaughan and Lisdoonvarna.
