About Us

Burren Holidays is a family run business started by Seamus and Mary Marlborough. We have three children – Ross, Jane and Ellen.

Originally we were dairy farmers specialising in the production and packaging of fresh pasteurised milk for distribution in our local town and surrounding areas.

For years we were the only private individuals involved in this business in County Clare. We have since changed our farming practice from dairy farming to beef production, and decided as an alternative to start a self-catering business as we have a love of designing and decorating  houses and meeting people.

We set up Burren Holidays in 2001 and have since put together three individual high-class houses for self-catering, two are newly built and the third was our old farmhouse which we fully renovated leaving it with all its charm intact.

We offer a particularly individual welcome and are proud of the fact that our guests return year after year to renew firendship and follow our progress.
